qBittorrent does not change theme even when specified

Running qBittorrent v4.2.5 on elementaryOS 5.1.7

What is the problem

I have been trying to change my theme in qBittorrent for a week now but cannot do so.

What is the expected behavior

.qbtheme managed to change on Windows, expected it to work on elementaryOS as well.

Steps to reproduce

1. Download .qbtheme files from https://github.com/jagannatharjun/qbt-theme. I used breeze-dark.qbtheme and Solarized.qbtheme.

2. On qBittorrent, go to Preferences -> Behavior -> Check 'Use custom UI theme' -> Select .qbtheme file -> Apply

3. Restart computer, no changes.

I tried to reset my settings by deleting my old .config files from ~/.config/qBittorrent and restarting the program but it still made no difference. I would like to know if anybody else is having the same issue as me, or if there may be something wrong with my approach.

build theme with RCC of Qt used to compile qbittorrent

replace https://github.com/jagannatharjun/qbt-theme/tree/master/Builds/tools rcc and execute

make-resource.py -base-dir mumble-theme\ -find-files -output mumble-lite -style lite.qss 

in builds folder

I'm confused. Should I build the theme using the rcc from the page you linked, or from Qt's rcc? Can I ask for you to expand a bit more on this?

Yeah, same problem here. I also tried the themes from @jagannatharjun.

There is some sort of an issue with the Debian package from the Ubuntu official PPA. I'm on Linux Mint. I installed it from there, same issue. I tried the faltpak package and it shows the themes.
On the left the dpkg, on the right the flatpak.

I also have this issue. I cannot find option to apply themes. I'm on version 4.1.7 and using elementary OS.

I fixed this by installing a stable build from the launchpad place, v4.3 I think
