In order to get highlighed output from pytest tracebacks it probably is easiest to write a pytest-tb highlighter to generate some nicer html (and latex, if possible).

closing as wontifx, at some point i'd like to revisit via making a pytest plugin that directly outputs html output that pretends to be a terminal
