All the last issues before jumping to v2, which includes:

• Scaffolding the CI, tests and linters
• Merging any current, mergeable PR, that CI approves and is tested
• Changing maintainer

Middle ground:

• pylint-dev/pylint#8298
• Python 3.12 support pylint-dev/pylint-pytest#3 (MAY be done within v1, as long as changes are minimal)

Deferred for v2:

• Dropping Python 3.6 + 3.7 (see pylint-dev/pylint-pytest#8 (comment))
• Fully migrating to pyproject.toml
• Minor fix to support Pylint v3 (and fully resolving warnings + modernizing it)
