Hi @guillaumehuet and @pveierland

AIX was not working for a few days, and today I decided to do some investigation.
After googling, I found you guys here.

This link https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Per+Magnus+Veierland no longer exists, and the AIX app also disappeared.

I simply love this app. Can I provide any help?
I hope all is well with both of you.

Best
Marco

@lovato whilst AIX is a great little widget, and will be sorely missed by those who use it, there are alternatives that do the same as AIX (and more):

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloud3squared.meteogram

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.inet.rainwidget

For both of the above, the free version offers the same data sources as AIX (met.no and noaa.gov)... the first one has several other free sources too (e.g. DWD, OpenWeatherMap, SMHI, UK Met Office) as well as upgrade-only sources (e.g. AccuWeather, MeteoGroup, ClimaCell). The widget for the first one can be resized to whatever size you like, however big or small, and the widget opens up into a full-screen interactive app, with an additional time period to pan into.

@rivonia thanks for this precious information. I really love the way AIX is (or was) and finding something similar has been my challenge, since you need to look one by one.

Hello!

The Aix Weather Widget app was unpublished from Google Play on 2020-08-21 due to insufficient time available to maintain it further. I'm glad that the app has provided some value to its users over its lifetime, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience of removing it.

I hope that its source code may remain useful to someone :-)

Dear @pveierland, thanks for all the fish!
I got my first android phone, Samsung Galaxy S (its first itteration) in 2010. One of the first apps/widgets I discovered was Aix. It has been the Central jewel in my Android crown from then, being the first app I installed on every successive device, always displayed at the top of the main homescreen of my phone, until it completely stopped being displayed by my current device this morning, at 08:16, 7 March 2021.
Let the record reflect that I feel like I have lost a dear friend! I have not seen any other android widget with the (apparently) effortless regally elegant appearance of Aix, or anything even in its class.

You are an artist, you bring beauty into an industrial wasteland that we have turned our Earth into.
You have a obsessively loyal fan in Johannesburg, South Africa - that Michael Jackson would have envied you for!
I wish you a long and happy life, you have made a challenging ten years of my life feel better every time that I looked at my phone screen, more so than you could ever realize.
Thank you
Your humble subject

Dear @pveierland , my widget died also today and I search on the internet why. I'm so sorry. For me it was also one of the first apps/widgets I install on a new phone. I liked it because of the simple style, giving just what I want to know. Now I downloaded the look-alike but (for heavens sake) the rain is purple!
Like previous writer I'm also a loyal fan but I'm from Belgium. Thank you for the years that I could use your beautiful widget! ❤️

Loyal fan here from Belgium too. My widget died today, then I discovered this sad news here.
I was a AIX user since 2 years, on all my devices.

Rest in peace, my dear friendly app, You will miss me!

With ❤️,

Steph

The color is easy enough to fix. Just go to settings, choose Precipitation and Colour (min and max). Then choose whatever color you want :)

rain is purple isn't it?

The first listed alternative is a pretty good replacement, thanks for the suggestion.

In any case, thanks to @pveierland for the 10 years AIX was on my homescreen.
