Hey there, I'm Peter Petro 

🚀 Junior Computer Science student @ University of Central Florida | Software Engineering Track

💡 About Me

  • 🖥I am a Computer Science student, focusing my electives on Software Engineering

  • 🔭 Currently leveling‑up through projects in full‑stack web, Java backend, and embedded Linux

  • 🌍 Born in Hungary, forged in Florida. Proud American.

  • 🛩 A serious nut for cars, sportbikes, planes & helicopters

  • 💪I also love bodybuilding, currently doing 🏋️‍♂️PPL x Arnold split.

  • 🏎 Dream garage: McLaren F1 (1994 LM) & BMW S1000RR and a used AV-8B Harrier II from the Royal Navy

  • ✈️ Fixed-Wing obsessions: Lockheed Martin's C‑5 Galaxy, F‑22 Raptor, F-35C Lightning II VTOL, SR-71 Blackbird

  • 🚁 Rotorcraft favorite: UH‑60 Black Hawk but there is a special place in my heart for 160th SOAR's MH‑47 Chinook

  • ️My obsession with Aviation the U.S. military was sparked by classics like Operation Flashpoint, ArmA series, Black Hawk Down, then supercharged by years living next to Eglin AFB. Daily fly-bys, watching SERE drills, parajumps from the dock, first row seat for AC-130 live firing training, and annual Blue Angels shows in Pensacola, FL with my wife. (most recently at Sun’n’Fun 2025, Lakeland, FL).

  • Police Automated License Plate Reader Simulator with ALPR using YOLOv11 & MySQL
  • Personal Portfolio – To elevate my JavaScript and Node.Js front-end skills.
  • Fighter Jet Simulator – Java plane simulator to simulate flight, weapons systems and effects such as flaps lift / drag.
