I really like the simple, compact list, but its design also means that lots of items will stay on the screen when reaching the end of a feed/category. To mark those as read you need to long press them which is rather annoying.

I think there 2 possible solutions for this:

  1. Implement swiping/dismissing of items to mark them read. My previous read "feeder" did this and it was quite nice to use
  2. Allowing overscroll (continue scrolling until no items are visible) sounds even better on paper but I have never seen/used it

Sure, thank you! For this feature, I was thinking about something minimal, like in the Pocket app (without the background color like in gmail).
