In sphinx-gallery, the default button for notebook are available in the bottom of the example.
With the pydata-sphinx-theme, this is possible to move them in the secondary bar such that they are always available. It is more ergonomic. Here, I did the trick that we have also implemented in scikit-learn and skrub:
