I finally decided to try out the REFramework VR mods for Resident Evil 7 and 8, but I'm wondering how to fix the resolution of the textures. I powered through RE7 while doing my best to ignore it, but I just can't with 8. The textures (and certain models) are so blurred in VR. I'd love to figure out how to fix this. It goes without saying that I am obviously maxing out the settings in-game, which seem to have little to no effect on the visuals in the VR headset.
Another thing I'm wondering: is it possible to switch to Mono-Rendering (single screen, mirrored to both eyes)?
Mono-Rendering in VR certainly does cause nausea at first, but when it comes to recording videos, it makes performance so much better (when taking on the brunt of max settings), so it's worth it for image quality purposes.
Oh and one more question: how do we disable the desktop game window, to save a little more on performance? I did notice that changing the in-game resolution doesn't seem to affect the VR resolution, so I decided to set it to the lowest possible resolution to save on performance. Is there any reason I shouldn't do that?
My apologies if there are existing options to fix these issues, I just can't find them in the palm menu or anywhere else.
