A feature present in Osu! but not Osu!lazer.

Suggestion is for it to act like it did in Osu!

I play a mix of Osu! and Osumania and when playing the latter I prefer to play on hand-mapped charts instead of autogenerated ones.

You can do that by disabling "show converted beatmaps" in the settings:
osu!_cxxLiARtFJ
and then choose your game mode at the top left corner:
osu!_fRn4YSKuZo

Personally I'd rather be able to choose if I play an autoconvert or not instead of outright hiding them, but I guess there's at least a workaround.

We don't have grouping support at song select yet (nor do we have a design for it even though we've asked multiple times.. maybe time to come up with something myself).

Maybe this old osu!next design isn't relevant anymore, but just leaving it here.

That design doesn't rally explain how the implementation should happen, nor what will happen to beatmap sets which are split up, so not too helpful.
