Have you tested if this works on lazer? stable is pretty feature locked, and a change like this may be quite hard to get in. But we can make sure it's correct for the future of osu!.

Ok I just installed latest osu!lazer and... well, animated notes don't even appear at all.

I'll transfer this issue across. If possible, could you attach your skin (just the relevant hit sprites will do fine)?
