Correct, there isn't any option for this currently but I think that's a reasonable option to have for learning 👍 . There is an existing utility function though for building the note text based on the key signature and the MIDI pitch, which is likely what you'd want to use: powertabeditor/source/score/generalmidi.h Line 499 in d07e3be One thing to think about is what the behaviour should be when there are fretted notes on multiple strings |

Idea from someone who knows 0 music theory: I'd like to know what notes I'm playing, and maybe that'll help me figure out scales or keys or something like that. I can't read sheet music. Unless I'm mistaken this sort of automatic annotation isn't built into the program; could we add it? If this mockup UI isn't terrible I can see if I can put in a PR for it.
