- so the rest of Fx.hover can properly handle it, the bug currently only happens for number locations[i] that make it part of the <extra></extra> hover label content.
... on-par with Plotly.restyle, Plotly.relayout and
Plotly.update
- this can happen when trying to remove a `visible:false` layer

v1.49.5is now released https://github.com/plotly/plotly.js/releases/tag/v1.49.5v1.49.5essentially cherry-picked the commits of #4197 (see working example: https://codepen.io/etpinard/pen/vYBVJgQ) offv1.49.4and this PR syncs this up withmaster.cc @archmoj
