+1, this is the thing I miss most from the old layout. My use case: I run one orchestrating thread that starts 5 to 8 subagents in parallel (planners, reviewers, design passes), and they often run for 20 to 40 minutes each. With the side panel I could see at a glance which ones were still running, which had finished and which had stopped. In the Workspace card the names are cut short, and I keep asking the parent thread where things stand instead of just looking. One more case worth covering: when the usage limit is hit, several subagents stop at once. The old panel made it easy to see exactly which ones stopped and needed resuming. A clear "stopped" state per agent in the panel would help a lot. An optional Agents tab in the right panel, as described above, would solve it for me. |
Uh oh!

I'd like an option to bring back the dedicated Agents side panel in V2, including grouping by parent so children, grandchildren, and deeper descendants can be viewed together
The subagent overview is now in the Lineage section of the Workspace / Thread details card. With several agents running, that view feels cramped. With five agents running, their task names are heavily truncated, and the overview shares the card with workspace actions and version control
I preferred the old side panel for keeping an overview open alongside the parent conversation. When a child delegates more work, being able to group its descendants underneath it makes the hierarchy much easier to follow
The behavior I'd like:
The Workspace card could stay available as a compact option. I'd like the dedicated side panel back for sessions with several agents and nested delegation
