Docker compose replaced with TIUP

Excuse me,
I really do wonder, where are the docker compose docs? Why is a proprietaty util named TIUP relaces it?
I want to start using TIDB, but I cannot find an updated versions of the docker compose yamls.
The ones that exist are 2 year old, and your docker docs have been deprecated in favor of TiUP.
And although I am sure it's an amazing tool, I cannot see how will ot play with my existing docker container... And it is a major pain point for me as I am trying hard to evaluate TiDB.
Would be nice if there was some basic docker(compose) container for local machine evaluation.
