We’re using Discussions as a place to connect with other members of our Bids Extension Proposal (BEP) working group and with the wider BIDS community. We hope that you:

📢 Join us in working on the Physio BEP

Here's the information you need to know to join us in working on the BEP:

• There are actually two BEPs! We are actively working on extending the BIDS specification for physiological data, but we are also conceptualizing and discussing a future BIDS specification of derivatives of physiological data. Both BEPs will be discussed (and eventually realized) in this repo.
• We meet every two weeks over Jitsi to discuss progress on the BEP(s). To join our meetings, which currently happen Thursdays at 10 am EST, please join our Slack (instructions below) and/or send us an email indicating your interest.
• Meeting agendas and minutes are created here in the Discussions page, but we try to keep discussions relevant to BEP development in issues and PRs associated with certain topics. So, if you have thoughts on anything in particular, check our list of issues to catch up on the conversation we've had so far!
• You can also contribute to the BEP(s) by creating issues of your own, or simply by creating a Discussion post here.
• To contribute to the BEP's development, make PRs against the "BEP045" branch in this repository. Note that we are only actively developing the BEP for raw physiological data at this time. You can see the diagram below for how PRs work!
• External contributors are also welcome to make general comments on this PR, which we will do our best to respond to with links to relevant discussion elsewhere if needed!

👋 Hello ! I'm a researcher working with physio data (ECG, PPG, EDA, RSP) acquired concurrently with fMRI. I've been involved with the raw physio BEP since the beginning. We are dealing with a lot of physio data in our lab (SIMEXP and Courtois Neuromod) and I'm interested to find a better way to organize those data to faciliate sharing and re-use, hence my involvement with this BEP !
