HTML5 Videos inside siema pages have their controls broken

I noticed that if I put a <video> inside a siema page, it will play and scroll to other pages fine, but the video controls are kinda broken:

• The fullscreen option makes the video fullscreen for about 1 frame, then switches back.
• The overflow menu (with the download option) doesn't work at all, and actually messes up the carousel by jumping to another page
• Volume / seeking kinda work, but after the first click / touch they get focused out

Can anyone think of any workaround to make videos work inside Siema?
