Hello, I wanted to ask for an example of how you could link to another page from '_layouts/default.html' section of the template.

I want to create a vertical navigation bar in the '_layouts/default.html' of my site so that people can navigate to other pages more efficiently.

The screenshot below shows an example of what I'm trying to accomplish:
