Hi @jamie9090 ! I appreciate this, but I'm afraid this is impossible. Under the hood, Vertical Tabs uses Obsidian's workspace splits as groups. When you closed all tabs within a group (i.e., split), Obsidian will automatically detach (or delete) the group. I decided not to intervene because I want to keep everything smooth and consistent. Consider the following case:

Awesome plugin! I didn't know I needed this until I tried it but makes sense because I've moved to vertical tabs everywhere else. I tried to use Workspaces, but never made that a habit. This is just more natural to me.
Would love if we could have a similar functionality to Arc Browser where groups can be persistent (i.e don't delete the group once empty).
