Suggestion: Remember Map View

Each time the app is launched, it auto-zooms to my current position. This is unlike most maps apps, which when launched will simply remain on whatever was the previous view.

This behavior makes it quite a bit more cumbersome when its primary use is not to track myself, but another user located far away: each time I launch, I have to either manually move the map back to their general area, or navigate back to the Friends menu & select the friend from the list once again. Suggestion: simply retain wherever the map had been the last time it was used (and if the user does wish to see their own position, there's an easily accessible button on the top right of the UI).
