Installation

A cross-platform installer/uninstaller/updater is maintained in the shadowfox-updater repository. Latest versions can be found in the releases section, or via Homebrew, MacPorts, and AUR. Please see the README file for details on how to use the updater (GUI and CLI options available) and solutions to common problems.

Note: As of Firefox version 69, the user needs to enable userChrome via about:config, as it is disabled by default.

• Enter about:config into the URL bar.
• Accept the risk of tampering with these values.
• Enter toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets into the search bar.
• Double-click the line with values that appear to toggle the preference to "true" (default is "false").
