Removing extensions clears all? Is a update possible?

Question

Question one: removing an extension clear all extensions
I install two extensions:

wix extension add -g "WixToolset.Util.wixext/7.0.0"
wix extension add -g "WixToolset.UI.wixext/7.0.0"

Now I call remove to remove just one, which should be possible according to the doc:

wix extension remove -g "WixToolset.Util.wixext/7.0.0"

After this, wix extension list -g prints an empty list and %USERPROFILE%\.wix is empty.

Is this the expected behavior?

Question two: is it possible to upgrade an extension?

Use this sequence:

dotnet tool uninstall --global wix
dotnet tool install --global wix --version 6.0.2
wix extension add -g "WixToolset.UI.wixext/6.0.2"
dotnet tool update --global wix --version 7.0.0
wix extension add -g "WixToolset.UI.wixext/7.0.0"

Now a wix extension list -g prints a few damaged versions:

WixToolset.UI.wixext : warning WIX6101: Could not find expected package root folder wixext7. Ensure WixToolset.UI.wixext/6.0.2 is compatible with WiX v7.
WixToolset.UI.wixext : warning WIX6101: Could not find expected package root folder wixext7. Ensure WixToolset.UI.wixext/6.0.2 is compatible with WiX v7.
WixToolset.UI.wixext 6.0.2 (damaged)
WixToolset.UI.wixext 7.0.0
WixToolset.UI.wixext 6.0.2 (damaged)
WixToolset.UI.wixext 7.0.0

(By the way: why is every extension listed twice?)

I did not find a possibility to update an extension (something like "wix extension update"). And removal of a single extension before installing the new version is also not possible, see first question.
