Making a rename shortcut in choose-tree

So currently I am trying to make a shortcut for choose-tree to rename the undercursor element. But currently I am struggling on finding the item highlighted name.

bind -T root R if -F "#{==:#{pane_mode},tree-mode}" "command-prompt 'rename-session -t '%%''" "send R"

How can I get the item highlighted in choose-tree?

I don't think there is a way to do this right now. It would need some format variables added for the mode to make the current line available to commands (like scroll_position for copy mode).

You are stuck with doing something like : renamew foo for the moment.

I will probably just make it enter into rename and query me for which and to what instead of renaming to a predefined name.

But I want to leave the discussion open in case someone finds a way, or an update is added to do this.
