lspci error on start

Hi folks,

On my system, when I run tmux (with or without a config), I get the following errors:

lspci: Unable to load libkmod resources: error -2
lspci: Unable to load libkmod resources: error -2
        Kernel driver in use: nouveau

tmux starts up successfully despite the error, although it sometimes takes several seconds for my shell prompt to appear. Here's what my terminal looks like after I run tmux -f /dev/null:

Note that I never get these errors starting my shell (zsh), and I still see the errors when running tmux without a configuration file. So I'm assuming the errors are due to something tmux itself is doing on startup.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

This is to do with your shell startup files.

So why would I only get these errors when starting tmux and not when I start my terminal and the same shell starts up?

Probably something different in the environment or the fact it is a login shell.

I commented out every line in my .zshrc and I still get the error.

W.r.t. the login shell. Do you mean that tmux uses login instead of something else?
