How to Test Development Release?

I want to use the Production Release for my animations, but I want to help test the Development Release. How do I do both? How do I install 2 versions on my computer?

We offer development releases (RC) and "nightly" snapshots: https://friction.graphics/download.html

If you are using Windows/Linux then download the "portable" archive, it's self contained (including settings etc).

Any v1.x binary (even on mac) support portable mode, just add 'portable.txt' beside the Friction executable. The "portable" downloads include the "portable.txt" file as default.
