Atomicals Developers Internal Meeting about Partial Coloring & Custom Coloring [5th June, 2024]

An internal meeting about Atomicals Partial Coloring and Custom Coloring took place at 8:00 P.M. CST, June 5th, 2024, hosted by the Wizz Wallet. The meeting lasted about half an hour.

Procedure

1. The author of Atomicals discussed the design of backing Atomicals with Satoshis, the corresponding issues this design caused for the protocol, and how Partial Coloring and Custom Coloring Assets can help the AVM.
2. Shadow (Atomical Market) explained the mechanism and details of Partial Coloring and Custom Coloring.
3. Neeboo (Wizz Wallet) talked about integrating these features with wallet transactions.
4. Shadow (Atomical Market) discussed the implementation of integrating these features with swap transactions.
5. The current activation height of 847000, which would activate the coloring features, was discussed, with a proposal to delay the height to 848484 to match the previously scheduled date.
6. Developers were advised to sync their information and start discussions on GitHub.

Discussions

A survey has been sent to all developers (service providers) internally to determine if they are able to publish new versions of applications that fully support these features.
