AMD HDMI 2.1 FRL patches?

Has anybody been able to compile the OGC kernel (6.19.x or 7.0.x) with the AMD HDMI 2.1 FRL patches?

I’m excited to give this a try under Bazzite.

I was able to merge the patches into the latest tagged OGC 6.19 release which compiled fine. Haven't had the chance to build a Bazzite image with it yet.

I just forked the kernel repo and am planning on pushing my local changes later today.

It's under the "hdmi-frl" branch. Right now its just a 1:1 fork of the OGC 7.0. branch but I'll try to push the changes to it by the end of the day today.

Ok, I have no idea what I thought I merged, but I did NOT do what I thought I did. Working on ACTUALLY merging the patches into OGC-7.0.y now (you were correct, there are conflicts).

I attempted fetching the amd-staging-drm-next branch but it still wouldn't auto-merge. I was working through the merge conflicts yesterday and got up to patch 19/21, will continue once I have the time today.

Sounds good. I think the amd-staging-drm-next branch was based on 6.19.0 which is probably causing the conflicts.

I’ve found that the patch modifies a few files that aren’t even in the OGC kernel (i.e. drivers/gpu/drm/amd/display/dc/dccg/dcn42/dcn42_dccg.c), tryna figure out how I should approach this to avoid compilation errors.

AMD just submitted a PR for the 7.2 kernel including their FRL & DSC patches
