Work Progress Update

Kusion CLI

• The upgrade of kusion build cmd into kusion generate is still in progress.
• The optimization of Workspace Backend and State Storage has been completed.

Kusion Module

• The development of Kusion Module extensibility mechanism has been completed, and the related documentations are now being prepared.
• Based on the Kusion Module development framework, we have completed the revamping work for the existing modules (opsrule, mysql, postgres, network and monitoring).

Kusion Control Plane

• We are working on the lifecycle management (Create/Read/Update/Delete/List and more actions) of the core domain models such as Projects, Stacks, Organizations, Sources and Workspace, etc.

Discussions

• In the actual production practice, there are some complex applications that may involve multiple workloads, users can declare multiple Kusion AppConfiguration models to support the multi-workload applications.
• Currently, some users choose to directly use KCL for writing the complete backend rendering logic. Considering that the logic may be very complex, sometimes involving http and other function calling, we recommend using the Kusion Module mechanism to complete the rendering in this situation.
