Going Global

In the interest of people and communities everywhere, we are extending invitations to any civic volunteers anywhere in the world who want to Innovate for Vegas even if they are not in Vegas…

With some changes earlier in 2023 with a certain nationwide organization and their ceasing support for local volunteer brigades making these efforts difficult to continue, we are hoping to enable and encourage these individuals and groups and their ongoing activities, and/or invite them to participate in our projects here in the Greater Vegas area. Civic volunteerism and collaboration across regions are two great tastes that go great together, and so we shall make it happen where and when we can!

In order to help this effort to get moving, we are pleased to have had @maryfnorris join our Board of Directors in June 2023, to be a part of the outreach and engagement outside of Greater Vegas, to other cities and perhaps other countries. Maybe even other planets… Mary is fairly well known and a great supporter of civic volunteerism and community-elevating projects.

will endeavor to connect our projects, our local volunteers, any remote volunteers and their projects, and about 40M people or so who might have an opportunity to try out some of these projects and enjoy the benefits of Open Source development by very important people all over the country, perhaps the world, so they might take that experience home with them and tell all of their friends…
