"Stuff" includes extraneous labels, extraneous RBAC rules, inert RBAC clusterroles for API editor and viewer permissions.

For the API editor and viewer permissions, I think we have two options:

  1. Add references for them into the kustomization file so that they are included in the operator-controller installation
  2. Remove them.
