[BUG] text field not expanding correctly when writing large search queries

Describe the bug

In Dashboards and Discover views the text field used for queries does not expand when the string is long enough to span multiple lines.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to the Discover page
2. Enter a long string into the search query

Expected behavior

The text field should expand vertically when entering long strings.

OpenSearch Version
2.17.1

Dashboards Version
2.17.1

i can reproduce this in 2.17.0/2.17.1, but the 2.x branch doesn't have this behavior, it should be already fixed but pending for next minor release
