Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Currently if I enter the index pattern name manually, a list of all index patterns appears, where the filtering I am looking for will be highlighted in bold. Since we have quite a few index patterns, we have to scroll through the list to find the one we are looking for.

Describe the solution you'd like

Is it possible to pull matches to the beginning of the list or would it be better to display only those index patterns that match the filter?

Versions:
OpenSearch 2.11.1
OpenSearch Dashboards 2.11.1
AKS 1.27.7

Thanks @kinseii for raising the issue.

I believe a fix to this behavior has already been merged in. I see it was included in the 2.12.0 release.

Please reopen if you believe that PR does not address the issue you mentioned.
