Thanks for your submission to JOSS @npaulhe. While this looks like useful software for managing the operation of a laboratory, the consensus of our editorial team is that this software does not fit within our definition of research software.

One possible alternative to JOSS is to follow GitHub's guide on how to create a permanent archive and DOI for your software. This DOI can then be used by others to cite your work.
