Due to the large number of people having issues with tags I have already coded a solution that will warn in the logs and help guide new users of syntax issues. Very basic at this stage but working and ready to test. Before doing a push request I wanted to discuss this first for input. Uses same java libraries and needs no new dependencies and contained in a small method easy to remove/disable.

Thoughts?
