Support for attributes on "in-between" tables of n:m relations

We would like to enhance the linking relation editor to support attributes on the in-between table of a n:m relation.

Our use case is to assign fauna and flora observations to "Beurteilungsformulare" (assessment forms), and each observation needs to have 1-2 additional attributes, such as nr of species sighted, distribution, etc.

One option would be to have a "tree-view"-like widget where one could add the additional values.

Can you provide us an example with example values?

You want to link "Bärensichtung" with the attribute Date "9.12.22" to "Beurteilungsformular 1"
Then you want to link "Barensichtung" with the attribute Date "11.12.22" to "Beurteilungsformular 2"

And additionally you want to change the dates on those "connections"?
