Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

It would be great if the bridge could accept the TelemetryConnectionSettings and also emit some metrics about the work it does!

Describe the solution you'd like

We should use the TelemetryConnectionSettings message to configure an otel SDK to send otel metrics to the configured backend.
