As I was already an codeowner with my account @zdaratom open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-contrib#23149
but I had to change nick to @zdaratom-s1 (company policy), I have recreated and original account and now requesting adding to organisation in order to be compliant with guidelines

I would prefer to remove the old account, since having multiple accounts may imply multiple votes during elections for example.

@open-telemetry/governance-committee what is your take here?

I agree, this is more like an account transfer than a new membership. @zdaratom does that work for you?

We discussed this and agree that the transfer should happen, i.e. removing the old account and adding the new account in place.
