Seems GREAT if mmengine could support similar features, as it would make the current cfg mechanism much more intelligent.

But I think we should follow the philosophy of fiddle, we can make the cfgs mechanism as a "language" of DL tasks, visualization is just a bonus.

Hi, these suggestions are exciting to me! But I think in this issue we should make our discussion more focused:

  1. If we are talking about visualization in MMEngine
  2. Or we are talking about config system in MMEngine

Once we get more focused, we might have more volunteers in our community get involved 😄

Hi, @zhiqwang @vansin !

We are planning to refactor our configuration system. The fiddle library you mentioned might be instructive to us. If you have more suggestions, you can share with us whenever possible! The refactoring will take some time to come out (probably next year), and we hope this can make our configuration system more easy to use. Stay tuned!

As for visualization of config files, we're currently engaged in something else so it might not be our first consideration. However, we encourage you (and others from our community) to post a PR to bring this cool feature into MMEngine 😄
