Hey Zuse, I'm glad you found the template useful. Our approach to updating to the latest version is to wait 2 to 3 weeks to ensure the new version is completely ready. This is our recommendation if you want to update a production-ready app, as we may encounter issues. Based on our experience, it typically takes at least 2 weeks for the new release to be fully ready thanks to the amazing work done by the expo team |

Sounds like a solid approach. What are your thoughts on, apart from migrating the core libraries, adapting the boilerplate to new features and functionality? There's some major improvements that can be made by adopting react compiler, react 19 features, eslint 9 and surely much more that I'm not aware of. It'd be great to have this boilerplate being a knowledge base and discussion forum for all the cutting edge stuff. |

Hey @yjose! Do you have an update here? Is someone already worked on bumping to the next expo version? Happy to throw together a rough PR if not. |

Hi guys,
first of all I want to say that I love this template.
You did an amazing job and it's overall the boilerplate template I recommend to most of my students (programming class).
As expo 53 has been released a couple of days ago I would like to take the chance and ask for a roadmap towards migrating the project.
Are there any concrete plans for the adaption?
BG
Patrick
