Pitfall: 'Obsidian needs to re-index your vault' may mean that the location where your Obsidian sync settings and passwords are stored has lost all its data. This is usually something outside of Obsidian Sync. We'll be fixing visibility very, very soon
Pitfall: Deleting your .obsidian folder (for trouble-shooting) or turning off the Sync plugin loses all your sync settings - and the connection to the remote vault - for this vault on this machine. This is expected and intentional, but we'll see if needed after an update
Checking if bugs
Pitfall: When copying a vault (such as moving the remote to a different region), sync settings are not copied. This should be fixed; caveat documented in Sync setup page.
Pitfall: Random edits made and lost, when turning back on syncing for a vault that was disconnected or not synced for some time: Documented in Troubleshooting already.
