NIP-01 Assuming Order

Would it make sense to mandate a certain sort order of event JSON keys (and elements of the tag array) when serializing in NIP-01? Or is this to late?

I'm trying to optimize for grepability of an event store.
Store access would be faster if I could assume the substring ordering.

A naive workaround would be to store the events reordered.
But that's not an option because it means to render the hash signature invalid.
