MkDocs Server leverages OAuth 2.0 authentication. You have to configure a client application in your OAuth provider and supply the corresponding Client ID and Client Secret.

You should then configure your Git provider to send a POST request to the Publish URL when code is pushed to the repository.

Deploy Keys

You can use a Deploy Key to allow the MkDocs Server to clone a private repository.

When you click the Generate Deploy Key button, an authentication key is generated on the server. The public deploy key must be be installed on your Git server in order for the MkDocs Server to authenticate.
