Currently no on-demand service active, first stable services expected to start in June 2024

Task decided on 30.8:

  • @rcavaliere asks if data is also natively available as GTFS-Flex
  • @rcavaliere clarifies the way we want to show on-demand services on our OTP client. Based on this we could also define how to import static / dynamic data in the OTP (or directly in the front-end application)

Is the expectation that OTP returns information about possible trips that would work according to the geographic area and service times, or would you want to know how in real-time long it takes for a Uber-like service to arrive at your location?

In a first implementation, the first one. The real-time improvement could be added with a following iteration.

@leonardehrenfried as mentioned, we can start with this development.

At present we have the data of this service: https://www.altabadia.org/en/info-service/getting-to-alta-badia/by-bus.html ("Badia Bus"). The data is visible on mobility.meran.eu, just as layer on the map view.

You can get the on-demand data there:

The structure of the Open Data Hub API is the same as for other mobility services, if you need some explanations let me know.

Please consider that the API also retrieves historical data of trips, stops, positions of previous on-demand services (in the city of Merano), so you should just consider the current data. In case we can help you in setting up the right API calls for you.
