Hi,

I created an ebuild to be albe to use install io.js via the gentoo portage system.
I'd like if someone could check if this config seems to be sane and check for errors, maybe even try it.

https://github.com/themasch/overlay/blob/master/net-libs/iojs/iojs-1.0.1.ebuild

It's my first own ebuild, so there be dragons!

Currently i'm blocking nodejs because of file collisions (node_models etc).
I hope to find a way to get rid of this.

@themasch I will introduce a gentoo ebuild to the tree after we've bumped http-parser and libuv. Thanks for your contribution!

@themasch Here's a preview of the ebuild. Feel free to test, all deps should be in gentoo-x86 by now: https://gist.github.com/jbergstroem/314b47b886523a8b3fc0

@themasch the ebuild is in! give it a go and tell me (jbergstroem@freenode) if you have any issues specific to the gentoo install (or just file a bug at the gentoo bugzilla). Lets try to avoid too much distribution-speficic discussion here.
