apt-get-repository not found

add-apt-repository ppa:chris-lea/node.js is useless

It seems to work for other people. Hence not actually useless.

bash says "apt-get-repository not found"

Copy and paste the entire thing. Then, figure out exactly what version of
linux you're running (for all I know you're trying to run this on a Fedora
box, and at this point I wouldn't put it past you). Then, share that with
the world too. Nobody can help you if you don't sufficiently describe what
you're doing.
