Public participation

We stream our conference call straight to YouTube so anyone can listen to it live, it should start playing at https://www.youtube.com/c/nodejs+foundation/live when we turn it on. There's usually a short cat-herding time at the start of the meeting and then occasionally we have some quick private business to attend to before we can start recording & streaming. So be patient and it should show up.

Many of us will be on IRC in #node-dev on Freenode if you'd like to interact, we have a Q/A session scheduled at the end of the meeting if you'd like us to discuss anything in particular. @nodejs/collaborators in particular if there's anything you need from the TSC that's not worth putting on as a separate agenda item, this is a good place for that.

V8 Currency:

• I expect V8 9.1 to land on master this week (it just needs node-api: avoid SecondPassCallback crash node#38899 (ready) to land first, and is missing at least one TSC approval).
• After that, I'll work on backporting to v16.x, using a fork of V8 where I track and revert breaking changes.
• Based on the canary builds, V8 9.2 should be easier to get in, but there can always be surprises.

Startup performance:

• Opened bootstrap: implement run-time user-land snapshots via --build-snapshot and --snapshot-blob node#38905 for initial support of user land modules (only builtins are supported in the user land snapshot for now, loading of user modules are WIP), feedback is welcome!
• After a detour the support for class fields in V8 snapshots is coming into shape, a different version of the class field optimization that I've been working on will be uploaded to upstream soon (with only the snapshot support but not the optimization because that approach only introduces trivial speedup)
