"content_html": "<p><strong><a href=\"https://antixlinux.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">antiX</a></strong> is a Linux distribution based on Debian Stable.<sup id=\"cite_ref-2\" class=\"reference\"></sup> It is comparatively lightweight and suitable for older computers, while also providing cutting edge kernel and applications, as well as updates and additions via the apt-get package system and Debian-compatible repositories.<sup id=\"cite_ref-3\" class=\"reference\"></sup> Unlike Debian, antiX is \"proudly systemd-free\". Since version 19 it comes in two init system flavours: sysVinit and runit.</p>\n<p>antiX comes with default SpaceFM Desktop Environment (DE) built on top of GTK library and IceWM as a Window Manager.<sup id=\"cite_ref-4\" class=\"reference\"></sup></p>\n<figure class=\"post__image post__image--center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https://nibeon.github.io/pro-linux/media/posts/7/antix.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" srcset=\"https://nibeon.github.io/pro-linux/media/posts/7/responsive/antix-xs.jpg 300w ,https://nibeon.github.io/pro-linux/media/posts/7/responsive/antix-sm.jpg 480w ,https://nibeon.github.io/pro-linux/media/posts/7/responsive/antix-md.jpg 749w ,https://nibeon.github.io/pro-linux/media/posts/7/responsive/antix-xl.jpg 1200w\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"800\"></figure>\n<p>antiX is available for IA-32 and x86-64 architectures, and comes in 4 versions:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Full</strong>, which installs a full range of applications (1.4 GB)</li>\n<li><strong>Base</strong>, which allows the user to choose their own application suite (800 MB)</li>\n<li><strong>Core</strong>, no X, cli-installer without encryption, which enables the user to have total control over the install (440 MB)</li>\n<li><strong>net</strong>, no X, cli-installer without encryption,which enables the user to have total control with no desktop environment by default (180 MB)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The most interesting antix features, thanks to which I liked this Linux distribution:</span></em></p>\n<ol>\n<li>lightweight and fast </li>\n<li>several lightweight window managers (IceWM by default, fluxbox, jwm), including one tile manager (herbstluftwm), between which you can switch on the fly </li>\n<li>the ability to use a distribution from a USB flash drive with saving the state of work without installing it on a hard drive </li>\n<li>Suitable to work on old computers and laptops</li>\n</ol>\n<p><em><strong>Interesting fact</strong></em>: The most of releases of the distribution refer to the figures of the anti-fascist movement, which is hinted at by the slogan: <em>Proudly anti-fascist \"antiX Magic\" in an environment suitable for old and new computers.</em><br><br></p>",

Born as a fork of KDE 3.5 back in 2010, it was originally created by Timothy Pearson, who had coordinated Kubuntu remixes featuring KDE 3.5 after Kubuntu switched to KDE Plasma 4.<sup id=\"cite_ref-Article_about_Trinity_KDE_3_4-0\" class=\"reference\"></sup></p>\n<p>TDE is now a fully independent project with its own personality and development team, available for various Linux distros, BSD and DilOS. It is currently led by Slávek Banko.</p>\n<p>TDE releases aims to provide a stable and highly customizable desktop, continuing bug fixes, additional features, and compatibility with recent hardware. I would like it to get more attention.</p>",

A build is also provided for more powerful PCs based on KDE Plasma. Another interesting feature of this distribution is the ability to install from under Windows using an *.exe installer. Also recently there have been builds for Raspberry Pi, Pinbook and ARM-devices.</span></p>\n<p>As for me, I liked this distribution precisely because of the lightweight of the main build with <strong><em><a href=\"https://nibeon.github.io/pro-linux/trinity-desktop.html\">Trinity Desktop</a> </em></strong>(which in turn is one of my favorite graphical environments). At the moment I use this distribution kit on my old laptop.</p>",

"content_html": "<p>Since Linux itself is not an operating system, but is the core of the operating system, and therefore Linux is considered as a family of Unix-like operating systems, I will first give my classification of Linux distributions:</p>\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">1) The main families of distributions.</span></strong><br>(those distributions that most often mean Linux)<br>- <strong>Debian</strong> and its derivatives.<br>- <strong>Ubuntu</strong> and its derivatives.[1]<br>- <strong>RPM-based</strong> distributions.<br>- <strong>Slackware</strong> and its derivatives.<br>- <strong>Arch Linux</strong> and its derivatives.<br>- <strong>Gentoo</strong> and its derivatives.<br>- <span style=\"color: #02192b;\"><strong>LFS-based</strong></span> distributions.[2]</p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>2) Mini-Linux</strong></span><br>(those distributions that take up little space and are most often used in live-mode without installing to disk) </p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>3) specialized distributions</strong></span><br>(mostly for specific tasks, such as Kali Linux, Clonezilla or Gparted Live)</p>\n<p>So, I will consider mainly the first 2 categories.<br><br>Linux distributions are also subdivided according to the graphical environment that comes out of the box (for example, Ubuntu uses GNOME, Kubuntu - KDE, Xubuntu -XFCE, etc.), but by and large these are conventions, because if you install KDE on Ubuntu (GNOME), and after that remove GNOME, then you essentially get Kubuntu.</p>\n<p>I will mainly consider those Linux distributions that I like and impress the most. Preference is given to those distributions that can be used as a full-alternative to Windows / MacOS. I will not consider mobile versions of Linux (Android, Tizen and others), because. here while there is a pony hegemony of the Android.</p>\n<p>---</p>\n<p>[1] despite the fact that Ubuntu was originally a debian-based distribution, it has long been an independent branch, and the ever more active introduction of snap packages (for example, in the latest version of Ubuntu, it will no longer be possible to install the Firefox from the deb package - it will be installed snap version).</p>\n<p>[2] LFS-based means that the distribution is not based on any of the above branches, but developed from scratch, but does not have numerous branches.</p>",
