Redox is an operating system written in Rust, a language with focus on safety, efficiency and high performance. Redox uses a microkernel architecture, and aims to be reliable, secure, usable, correct, and free.

The task here would be to investigate, together with upstream, if the project would benefit from a development environment and distribution pipeline based on Nix. Currently it's built with Make. If there's value in Nixification, we'd work together with the authors to supply them with everything they need to leverage Nix such that it doesn't get in the way.
