Public sharing

I understand that public sharing is not possible right now (April 2025). What is the problem with public sharing? Is there a security risk?

Hello.

The problem was a bad design architecture on how data was stored in the past. This should be fixed first as it would impose rewriting the sharing (possibly in a non-backward compatible manner) feature once the storage architecture is fixed.

There is #392 as well.
