Opening the mention picker was fixed in #5351 / #5378. But it is still possible to open the mention picker, when another mention is directly in front of it:

So there are 2 issues here:

  • The mention picker should not open when a mention chip is in front of it

  • The inputbar should not render the mentionchip when there's no space in between (the top field shows the chips, the bottom one does not)
