Q. Why isn't wireshark linked against libssl ?
A. Because it can't be linked against libssl.
   See http://www.openssl.org/support/faq.html#LEGAL2

Q. Why isn't wireshark linked against libsnmp ?
A. Because it would also need to be linked against libssl
